The pork is fantastic! This is definitely one of our favorite BBQ catfish spots. The pulled pork is delicious, and my husband absolutely loves the fried jalapeños. There was a young girl performing a Patsy Cline song, and for a moment, we thought it was a recording because she sounded just like her.
The Purple Pig #1 is a hidden gem located directly off Hwy 155 in Flint, TX, near Lake Palestine. We arrived on a Sunday night around 7:00 PM, and there were only three cars in the parking lot, which initially made me hesitant. However, the positive reviews on Zomato convinced us to give it a try. We ordered the ribs and fried jalapeño slices, and both were fantastic. It's a great grill in a small community!
