Venice House - Nipawin

Yikes! This place is a whole new level of disappointment.

The first time I went to Venice House I found the food to be satisfying and tasty, with reasonable portions and a pleasant atmosphere.

We usually have very consistent meals there. As we only go once or twice a year this may not be very helpful. I do know they have a very loyal following of people from out of town . Fishermen, tourists, visiting family, etc. Some have been coming back year after year.

I've been to Venice House locations in other cities before and was quite pleased. Not this location. About the July thing they got right was the Greek salad. For a small community the prices were about right. The entree on the other hand, terrible. The lemon potatoes was a liquidy mess and had no flavour. The chicken parm was quite disappointing. The look of the restaurant is quite dated and not overly inviting since it's in the basement of the building. Won't be making a return visit.

Excellent greek dishes, lots of flavour, well priced and big portions! Highly recommend! Service was excellent!
