Mike's Italian Beef - Affton

The fries were outstanding! Unfortunately, both my beef sandwich and my wife's were cold and stale tasting. This was at 6:00 on a Friday night! I've eaten here once before and it was a 4/5. Waste of money for this meal. There are plenty of other sandwich places that blow this place out of the water and are more consistent.

The Italian beef was off. Ordered for dine in so I ate it shortly after it was made. Not a fan of the bread they are using, my bun was cold and stale. The first bite of the Italian beef was cold crumbly bread which wasn’t great. I guess when the bun soaked up the juices is was a little masked. App the peppers fell off the sandwich. Sticky floors. I’ve had much better versions of this sandwich. Won’t be in a hurry to return.

Great little sandwich shop!Went and tried the Italian beef dipped it was great!Make sure to try the tots they are super great lots of flavor and very unique.

Finally made my way down to Mikes. My wife has been and said the garlic parm fries might be her favorite fries in STL. Got to say they are definitely up there. Also got a side of cheese sauce for them which was really good too. Ordered the philly cheese steak which has tender, thinly sliced steak, gooey melted cheese and sautéed onions, all nestled within a soft, fresh roll. Really enjoyed it. Will be back to try a different sandwich!

The absolute worst Italian Beef I’ve ever had in my life. Pathetic. They shouldn’t be allowed to serve them.
