Steak N Shake - Altamonte Springs

As a delivery driver, I find this location to be excellent for pickups. Jean is always attentive, and the new manager, Nathaniel, is friendly and quick with a joke. He also keeps me updated on when my orders will be ready and lets me know if another driver has taken my food. Javall provides great service as well and is likely the best cook in the kitchen. Thank you all for your hard work!

Steak and Shake is decent, but this particular location impressed us with its excellent service, and the ambiance was quite acceptable—though not exceptional, it was fitting for a burger joint. I deducted a star for the food primarily due to the french fries, which just don't measure up. They serve thin, shoestring fries that resemble the dried PotatoSticks you find in vacuum-sealed cans or chip bags. While they’re not quite as dry and crunchy as PotatoSticks, some of the overcooked ones come close. It would be a smart move for Steak and Shake to introduce more fry options for those of us who appreciate really good fries. To be honest, I probably won’t be returning anytime soon, mainly because of the fries. I could easily go to Five Guys for an amazing burger and a large order of fries prepared just the way I like them.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a great experience. Instead of cashiers, you place your order using a computer, which is a unique approach. There’s plenty of parking available, and the area is well-lit. It’s kid-friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and there is ample seating, all kept clean. The tea was enjoyable, and they offer great shakes as well! I highly recommend this place!
