Mamma Mia Italian Bistro - Apex

From the minute I walked into the door, the family atmosphere hit me like a wave. The people that manage this place of the highest quality and the food matches it. I had a stromboli which I usually avoid because they turn out gummy and nasty. Thisplace was a complete opposite. The bite of fresh garlic in the crust. The salty nuttiness of the mozzarella, the quality of thepepperoni and thin sliced sausage. Everything deserves the chefs kiss. This restaurant is an hour and a half away from my homein Greenville but well worth it several times over. I will definitely be back.

We heard great reviews and thought we finally found a Authentic Classy Italian Restaurant... WRONG!  It is sad that it was nothing special and expensive for what we got.  Biggest dissapointment ever! We got seated in a booth next to a table of 6 witha patron super loud, we then get our dipping bread in a paper bag really?  Ordered the zucchini fritti and it was over fried,we ordered Chicken Francese and Chicken Parmesan both with Capellini, the Francese got delivered with linguini. Had to reorderthe pasta ugh!  I asked for the sauce to be on the side for the Chicken Parm and the waiter reported that the Kitchen cannothonor that request (no class), never have I  been treated like that.  We drove 23 miles one way to have  Chicken parm about 51/2 inches in diameter for $19.00 (I can get a Costco 5 lb Roaster for $4.95 , and yes there was cost associated in preparingit).  Well let it be known NOT PLANNING IN GOING AGAIN.

The bread alone earns this place a solid 5 stars! It's an adorable restaurant with attentive and exceptional service. They can easily accommodate both large parties and small gatherings. To start, they serve delicious bread rolls with dipping oil. We also tried the garlic knots and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion we received for the price. The servings are quite ample! We also ordered the "Pasta Your Way," where you choose your noodle and sauce. We went with spaghetti bolognese and linguini carbonara. We will definitely be returning!

What a fantastic surprise! While I was waiting for my tire to be repaired, I had a lovely afternoon at this restaurant. The owner-manager was exceptionally enthusiastic. I enjoyed a delicious pasta dish and soup, and I loved everything so much that I decided to buy two beautiful pizzas to take home for my family. The customers seemed like regulars, and the young crowd clearly adored the place. I will definitely return when I'm in the city for work!

Delightful experience! I had the salmon piccata as a special, and it was vibrant and full of flavor. I returned on April 21, and it was just as amazing! The bread served with oil and balsamic vinegar was delicious, and the salad was great. I also tried a pasta dish featuring tortellini in vodka sauce with shrimp, which I absolutely loved.
