Midway Pizza - Ashford

Currently only open for takeout. The indoor area and deck are being built, It looks really impressive so far. The pizza and grinders where very good. ?

The guy serving us was nice enough! And the meatball grinders were winners I think the water filter needs changing, tasted like licking a pipe. Chicken Caesar wrap didn't have any sauce in and nor did the grilled chicken. Honestly would have made the world of difference. Chips (fries) were good tho!

Midway Restaurant and Pizza is a gem! The service was top-notch, and the food was fire – piping hot and incredibly delicious. The pizza crust was perfectly crispy, and the French fries were out-of-this-world good. Can't wait to go back for more!

During my visit, I noticed two waitstaff, two managers, and a bartender on duty. However, there are definitely areas that need improvement. One manager appeared overwhelmed trying to juggle multiple responsibilities: managing the staff, answering the phone, processing to-go orders, and filling those orders. It was clear that this was their first experience running a restaurant. I recommend hiring someone specifically for the register to streamline the process. To-go and pick-up orders require a different approach than dine-in services. Customers who are seated are already prepared to wait, but walk-in customers are less likely to return if the wait is too long. Waiting 30 minutes for a cold grinder may not seem excessive to some, but it feels that way when you're hungry. The manager should focus on ensuring smooth operations rather than being occupied at the register, as this can create confusion. On a positive note, all the food that came from the kitchen looked delicious. It just seemed like there was a lack of order in the overall operation. Investing in better systems at the front could really enhance their service and keep customers coming back. If they address these issues, they could easily achieve a five-star rating. I’m curious to see if my next visit will lead to a higher or lower score.
