The beef cheek dish was delicious, with flavors that complemented each other perfectly. The service was exceptional, with knowledgeable staff who were passionate about the food. The maître d' was a real treasure, unpretentious and genuine. Gerome has some of the best staff in Auckland, making a big difference to the experience. Highly recommend for a special occasion or to treat yourself. Exceptional!
I enjoyed my time at this restaurant. The ambiance is lovely, the prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. The tabouleh dish and fish were especially amazing. However, the fries were a bit too seasoned for my taste. My friends mentioned that the lamb was incredibly tender.
The pita bread with hummus was soft, warm, and airy, and one of the freshest tasting bread I've ever had. I highly recommend it. The pork cheek was sweet and rich, balanced well by the dates, yoghurt, and pumpkin puree. The lamb was a bit dry, but the lemon carrot tzatziki helped. Cooking lamb perfectly is difficult, but Gerome did a good job. Overall, I was impressed by the food and service at Gerome. I will definitely return and can say it is one of my favorite restaurants in Auckland.
Had dinner here today. We had the prawn manti, lamb sheftalia, barbecued eggplant, fried kaitaifi prawns and the barbecued chicken thigh. Everything was really tasty. <br/ For dessert we ordered the loukoumades and the galaktoboureko. The galaktoboureko was really great but the loukoumades was a bit disappointing. There was an essence in it (almond maybe) that was quite overpowering. We couldn’t even finish it. <br/ <br/ 4 stars because of that one dessert and the service when we first entered was a bit slow, they took so long (not busy at the time) to come to take our drink order that we didn’t feel like having one and therefore just ordered our food. Once the food started coming out the service picked up. <br/ The prawn manti is a must if you’re going here.
A different experience that is definitely worth!Amazing restaurant when it comes to space and costumer service.Truly a different concept with the old and new of Greek cuisine walking together.The fried prawns, the barbecued eggplant, the lamb meatballs and the 500g rib eye it is a must eat.Highly recommended
