The Peacock Mediterranean Grill

I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and the food. This is some of the best Mediterranean cuisine I've had, and the venue is beautifully designed with touches of nature and stylish tile work on the walls. We particularly loved the manti dumplings, cauliflower, and roasted chicken. The lamb meatball was flavorful, although it was a bit too spicy for my taste. The date pudding looked delightful but was also a tad too sweet for us. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Fantastic food! This is our go-to place for Mediterranean cuisine in Austin. We’ve visited several times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is classy yet comfortable, the staff is wonderful, and the food is superb. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Mediterranean fare!

This Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Austin is fantastic! Situated in The Proper Hotel, right next to the lobby, it offers an excellent atmosphere with outdoor seating. The ambiance, food, drinks, bar, and overall vibe were all spot on! I really enjoyed the Mediterranean decor with the wooden and tiled walls, the open kitchen, and the dim lighting—it's a perfect place to relax, whether you're with a large group or on a romantic date. The food was outstanding, including the hummus, octopus, and dumplings—all delicious! The drinks were great too, and the bar was well-maintained. I highly recommend checking this place out; you won’t be disappointed!

The restaurant features a beautifully designed space on the fantastic second floor. However, be aware that you are primarily paying for the ambiance and marketing rather than the quality of the food. The lamb and baba ghanoush were excessively salty, as was the octopus. While the octopus was well-prepared aside from the saltiness, it still missed the mark overall.

We found the decor very lovely and the service was very good. We were happy with some dishes and disappointed in others, particularly the octopus. There was also a problem with leveling of our table and we noticed others having the same problem. I was there on a date and was sitting right next to another couple on a date so I wasn't happy with the privacy. We might return to try some other dishes, though.
