8-bit Aleworks - Avondale

This is a fantastic spot for gaming, and the beer selection is quite good. Most of the options lean heavily towards IPAs, so I wish they offered a few lighter styles as well. They also have a great range of merchandise for sale. However, I was disappointed to find that the Zelda-themed growler is only available through their loyalty program. Seriously? It feels a bit unfair to restrict merchandise I would gladly pay extra for behind a paywall. Oh well, I suppose that just adds to their video game theme!

Awesome beers and a really fun bar with a retro gaming theme! We fell in love with this place during our first visit and will definitely be returning throughout the year to see their updated potion selection!

This is undoubtedly my favorite brewery in the West Valley, and it could very well be my top pick in the entire Phoenix metro area. I haven't explored many breweries on the east side, which might influence my perspective a bit. However, no matter your location, this place is amazing! Their seasonal fall and winter imperial stouts are consistently outstanding. I make sure to mark the release date for the winter imperial stout on my calendar every year. Support this small business—you won’t regret it!
