Sweet Basil Vietnamese Noodle House

The food here is fresh, delicious, and the service is excellent. We visit regularly and our favorites are the pork bao and the pho, especially the beef meatball version, as well as the one that includes steak, tripe, and other meats.

Regarding the noodles, there's a noticeable difference between freshly cooked noodles placed directly in your pho and those that have been pre-cooked, measured out, and then refrigerated. The latter results in clumpy noodles that are difficult to break apart with chopsticks, which is precisely what I encountered in my bowl. Overall, the restaurant seemed quite stingy and lacking in effort, likely relying on the fact that their customers may not have a clear idea of what genuine Vietnamese food should be like. While they never claimed to offer authentic cuisine, they would benefit from investing more of their budget into the food rather than the décor.

The decor is lovely, and the vegan pho is simply amazing! As for vegetarian options, the tofu dishes are expertly prepared. Service was excellent during our dinner. Overall, I rate the food, service, and atmosphere at 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Hot Mess Fries and the Vegan Pho!

The food here is absolutely delicious. The broth has that perfect quality that can truly lift your spirits when you're feeling under the weather and craving something warm. I know I'm being quite detailed, but it genuinely tastes homemade—not greasy at all—and is packed with herbs.
