Bullwinkels - Beech Mountain

My family and I drove from Miami to Beech Mountain and stumbled upon this restaurant at 9 pm. We were told by Tammy that the restaurant was closed for the night, but she went above and beyond by turning on the oven and making 2 pizzas for us. I am extremely grateful for Tammy's exceptional service! The pizza was delicious and Tammy's kindness made our experience unforgettable. Thank you, Tammy!

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We had to wait a long time to be seated without any explanation. Half of our order was forgotten, but at least they took it off the bill. The staff seemed clueless and multiple tables received the wrong orders. Some tables didn't even get their food after we had finished eating. The service was so bad that other tables were discussing it with each other. Overall, the service was a 1 out of 5, the food was a 3, and the atmosphere was a 4. The price per person was $20-30 for dinner.

I visited this restaurant twice with a group of 8 people. Each night, we all ordered different items from the menu and shared everything. We sampled a large variety of dishes and everything was delicious, hot, fresh, and portion sizes were generous for the price. The marinara sauce was especially outstanding. However, the service was lacking. Our server and bartender were unfriendly and visibly annoyed when we requested separate checks. The interior of the restaurant was fun and relaxing. Despite the service issues, we enjoyed our meals enough to return twice and would have come back again if we were not leaving town the next day. The prices ranged from $20 to $30 per person for dinner. Overall, the food received a rating of 5, while the service and atmosphere were rated lower at 2 and 3, respectively. Recommended dishes include Chicken Parmesan, Pizza with Mushrooms, Pepperoni, and Onions, Calamari Marz Sticks, Supremo Pizza, Bullwinkles Supreme, Pepperoni Sausage Mushroom Pizza, Calamari, and Mozzarella Sticks.

The staff at this restaurant is friendly and the atmosphere is clean and pleasant, although it can get pretty warm without air conditioning. However, I was disappointed with my ravioli with meat sauce as the ravioli seemed to be a frozen variety and was still chewy. It was also missing bread or a small side salad, which we had to ask for separately. My husband ordered the lasagna and it was more like a casserole than a traditional slice from a pan.
