Foothill Student Housing - Berkeley

TL;DR: Yet another generic college cafeteria serving subpar food. Thoughts: I came here with a friend for lunch. All the college cafeteria staples were there: cereals, various kind of beverages, etc. The chicken was fine, not the best but it's neither too dry nor too bland. However, the coleslaw was quite ... disgusting: my friend couldn't even finish 10% of her coleslaw.

Go here occasionally for lunch. Non student price around $13.50, all you can eat, and while I haven't been to all student cafeterias at UCB, this one has a great selection of good food. Much better than I remember when I lived in the dorms.

8.30lunch. It is at the foot of the hills. There were beef, clam chowder, pasta, noodles, burgers, fries, pizzas, seafood, rice, brownies, cherry pies, vegetables, cold meat, and many drinks. The view is nice from the windows. lunch11:00-14:00, dinner17:00-20:00.

The restaurant has a spacious atmosphere, but they really need to improve their air conditioning; it was missing during our visit. I suppose you have to bring your own! However, it was clean and pleasant, and despite being really busy when we went, my son absolutely loved it. That's what matters most to me.

The atmosphere is culturally diverse, with smart and engaging people everywhere. The dormitories and accommodation options are fantastic, and there's plenty of parking available, along with various restaurants nearby. However, I do wish the area felt a bit more secure, and I believe the Architecture Building could use a more appealing design. It's quite ironic that it's the least visually striking of all the buildings on campus.
