First, I noticed that the item I was most interested in on the menu is only available to reward members. What?! I’m just passing through, and since there aren’t any McAlister's locations near me, I’m not going to join your membership. Secondly, their website doesn't display prices, especially for their spuds. This is quite frustrating.
We were traveling and chose this place for lunch. There were two cooks and one person taking orders, and over eight tables needed to be cleaned off, many with half-eaten plates of food. Unfortunately, our lunch wasn't very good. I really felt for the staff, as they were doing their best given the circumstances. One customer even ended up going to Dairy Queen because he didn't want to wait. It took us 20 minutes to receive our food. They definitely need more help at this location. Service was dine-in.
We ordered the Spicy Southwest Chicken and it came out so good Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Sandwiches, Chips Parking options Free parking lot
I normally don’t post bad experiences, but the manager here was on such a power trip it was astounding. We were passing through on our way to El Paso, and stopped by with two of our tea passes. The person who took our order wasn’t sure what to do as we asked for the tea to be put in our Stanley cups as opposed to their cups. She called the manager over who refused to fill our cups and made a big deal about how our normal location shouldn’t be doing that for us. Ok, fine lady. We then asked for a separate cup with the ice to which she replied she’d have to charge us for that too. At this point I tell her not to worry about it because it’s just tea. It’s not that deep. To which she replies actually it is and proceeds to lecture me on how if I’ve ever worked in the restraint business I would know how it messes up inventory. INVENTORY ON THE TEA THEY REFILL FOR FREE by the way. If anything I was saving her inventory by asking to fill our own cups in the first place. But once again, fine lady. It’s just tea! We asked for one of our tea passes to be filled with unsweetened tea with a small splash of lemonade. Not half. A splash. To which she replies that makes it an Arnold Palmer, and that’s not included in the tea pass and then says she has to call her regional manager to ask about that. She takes a call in the middle of helping us and never returned. A different woman came back and we told her the manager never scanned our second tea pass, she took a phone call and left us there. Once again, IT’S JUST TEA. lol it was never that deep! I honestly feel someone gave this lady a title and she had some kind of power trip. It was probably one of the most bizarre, rude for no reason experiences we’ve ever had at any of the many McAlisters locations we’ve visited. (12/26/24)
First off this McAllister's is more expensive than other locations I have been too. Food Quality was extremely low. Mac and Cheese had been sitting out and looked disgusting. Fruit tasted weird. Lemonade had a off tang to it. 100% would not recommend. Won't be back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
