Boca Beach Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Location, Location location... hotel on the beach is the sole reason why this is a very pricy high end hotel. I say that because the rooms lack that WOW factor. The rooms do not match the price tag. The rooms aren 't bad but we were Kinda disappointed as we expected a more plush high end room to match the cost. It is simply a basic standard room with tiny refrigerator, Keurig coffee pot, no microwave), glass enclosed walk in shower, large separate bath tub, nice size TV and a sliding glass balcony door with NO balcony. It is nice to open it for fresh air. Balconies seem to be offered only in the upgraded beach view rooms. The room shows it 's age with rusty chrome around the shower, aged caulk job, and a bed that is way too soft and lumpy from over use. There are a few hotel restaurants on the property...however off property restaurants are not in a short walking distance. Over a mile for the closest). Service at the hotel breakfast restaurant was more than disgraceful. Shame on a five star hotel to drop the ball on this one. We were warned about it by another guest whom we met but that was 3 days prior and hoped it was just an off day. After waiting 45 minutes for basic eggs and pancakes we got up and walked out without eating. Who knows how much longer we would have waited. Someone told us their wait was over an hour. I just didn 't want to waste any more of my precious time on that beautiful day. Our waitress told us 3 times during our wait that our food would be right up. Mind you, each breakfast cost $34 per person! In fact any meal at any of the hotel restaurants will run a minimum of $25 per person without any beverage. We found the best menu and quickest service to be pool side. On Saturday and Sunday there is a catered food trailer to the back of the pool area offering various themed meals until 5pm. The time we were stay it was a Jewish deli. The week after was a lobster caterer. Not sure how we discovered this food truck bc no one tells you about it and we didn 't see any signs. The best part of the whole week was we absolutely enjoyed having the beach and pool right next to each other. Long walks on the beach were heavenly knowing we left a blizzard at home. You MUST reserve lounge chairs for the beach or pool during your stay otherwise you could get turned away as it can get crowded. We heard this happen to a few guests during our stay. Parking your car is $50 per day. Hotel shuttle did not run during COVID. The shuttle only operated to the golf club. Our first night of our stay we had to cancel our off the property dinner reservations bc we could not get Uber or Lyft in time. Seems dinner is a popular time for drivers. Later that day)...So as I am sitting poolside enjoying my beautiful day but still reflecting on my disappointing brunch this morning, I am stewing about what transpired. The waitress attempted to explain away the poor service we received, however, selfishly I am on vacation...trying to de-stress and I really don 't care what problems they face...I only care about the end result as that is the reason for my vacation and staying at a five star hotel. Frankly, We had better service at the Broken Egg restaurant yesterday and they were quite busy as well. That breakfast was a fraction of the cost too. A Concierge texts an arrival message and you can communicate through your stay via text. I was able to request a few things this way and it worked out very well. Overall, we loved our 5 day stay, being right on the beach, crowded but beautiful clean pool friendly staff and the amazing weather.

The Boca Beach Club is amazing! From the decor, the staff, rooms, pools beach access. Such a trendy place to stay. Pretty great for adults but not sure it is for kids which is a good thing. It is nice to truly be able to relax without hearing the screams of kids or babies crying. Sorry being just being honest if you want a kid friendly resort then go to the Disney resorts. The pools and beach access are nice, The yacht and golf club side is 5 star property for sure. The Spa is great! The beachside hotel area is dated, and rooms are okay, they need an update. Restaurants selection within the resort was great. You will pay a premium to eat there, but prices were equal to other high end properties. The overall resort is beautiful. The experience was good.

Updated review. I don 't often give a 5 rating and now I understand why. I definitely thought I was getting 5 star service, turns out there are several hidden charges like Parking of $180 for a car you never had there. And $58 for late check out even though you are an Honors member with status, and your friends did not get charged the extra 58$ WATCH OUT! 5 Star over-charging is also the policy! Not such a grand place after all!

This place is stunning, especially if you choose a room with an ocean view. While there isn't a balcony, you can open the doors to enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze. The room itself feels a bit outdated and could definitely benefit from a fresh coat of paint. The resort features three pools and a private beach, making it a great spot to relax. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating; they even made sure my credit card was delivered directly to my room. This resort is ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a getaway. However, be aware that there are several dead zones, and the internet connection can be unreliable. It’s perfect if you want to disconnect or take a break from social media, but not so convenient if you need to work. Take it from me: don’t wait until the last minute to meet deadlines—it's a regret you’ll wish to avoid. There are plenty of activities to enjoy at the resort, including beach yoga three times a week (which is like having a private lesson since no one else attends!), live music parties, professional sunset photography, and a variety of water sports. A helpful tip: if you’re a Hilton Diamond member, you can enjoy 20% off spa services and get the ritual bath at half price.
