State Gate Cafe - Bremerton

Delicious croissant sandwich and they started a fresh pot of coffee for us at 10:30AM. Great, friendly service and quiet room to sit and eat. Clean bathroom which always makes you feel better about a place.

Stopped by for a breakfast burrito this morning and ended up pretty disappointed. Hadn’t been in for a while since I started working further away, but I used to come in all the time. Sadly I won’t be back again anytime soon. Burritos are now a whopping $13 (which I get with inflation) however they are also now half the size they used to be. I don’t mind paying more for something but not when you are also cutting the portions at the same time. I think I just read there are new owners now so I guess that’s why. Also didn’t care for the bacon they are using now. Used to get nice crispy slices of bacon now it’s bacon bits that are barely cooked and really chewy, but I’m sure that’s just a personal preference for me. I hate chewy bacon.

I've tried their Cobb Salad, Breakfast Burrito, Cuban and Dirty Chai Latte. They do not disappoint!

I used to go here 7 years ago when it first opened up, I always got everything for free LOL. Man time flies by.

Great little spot for breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Have never had lunch there. They have a very small first come, first serve dining area with a low bar counter affixed to two walls and stools, that was clean, but very also bare bones . Great food and great people, though!
