Die Plaas Se Gat - Brits

We decided to venture out to Harties for the day and decided to come here for lunch. When we got there we were greeted with warm welcomes. We ordered drinks which came quickly. For food I wanted to get the oxtail pie but unfortunately it was unavailable and so I got the chicken pie instead. It was enjoyable but I was expecting a slice of pie but the pie came in a rectangular ramekin and the only pastry I got was the top of the pie which was a but underwhelming. My husband got the pup and chuck and it smelt and looked delicious. I would recommend better seats to sit on or cushions for the wooden tables as it was uncomfortable after a while sitting there. Overall we enjoyed our experience but would recommend making a whole pie and serving slices instead of in a ramekin. Our waitress was new but she was so lovely and sweet that you couldn’t even tell. Kid-friendliness: There is a lovely play ground right by the seating area so that you can watch your kiddos play while you sit. Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps put in place for wheelchair access.

Not really my vibe but the food was really good i might try it again. The view is great. No doubt we will be back to enjoy the Plankie steak and a couple a pots Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

We have been here for a Sunday lunch and we loved it. Firts time breakfast was awesome. They played Afrikaans music and the atmosphere under the trees is outstanding. The menu offers a variety and the food is very tasty. Will definitely recommend if you are looking for a real country experience and atmosphere. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast
