Ostrica Wine Oyster - Broad Channel

They added a tip to the bill and we didn't realize it. So when the bill was split between us, we both tipped again. It was very dark in there and we didn't realize we triple tipped on the bill. The food was great the service was great. The bar service was friendly, but slow. I would go back for sure, but I would watch the bill for the automatic tip that is added in and not tip twice.

We had a reservation and I waited 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me while I waited at the hostess stand. Took a while to get waters and drinks. Switched to two servers because they didn’t know who was assigned our table. Ordered fish and chips. It was one big filet that filled the plate. So parts of it was cooked more than others and it was difficult and messy to eat. The tartar sauce was warm and runny and tasted only like mayo. They did give us a loaf of bread before our meal which was very good. We were very hungry. The ambiance was noisy. It felt like an outdated establishment. I heard people of the table next to us that ordered two dozen oysters and they said it tasted slimy and old. Glad we didn’t order any. There wasn’t a lot of food options in the area near the event we were attending. I will not go back.

They do not have a separate line for people who have made reservations. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time only to wait 25 minutes in a seemingly short line with a bunch of empty tables. The hostess and servers spent a good amount of that time trying to figure out which servers should be getting which tables. It was very disorganized. Once we were seated, things went smoothly and the food came out quickly. The food was good, but not as good as I remember. I probably will choose to eat elsewhere in the future.

It took 15 minutes to get bread, 20 minutes to place our drink orders. An hour 45 minutes to eat after we were ready to order 5 minutes after we got seated. Never been like this before. Probably a new waiter.
