The Vintage House At Messina Hof

I attended the Wine and Roses Festival as a Texas Renaissance Festival Ambassador, and it was my first experience at both the festival and a winery. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and my companion and I enjoyed every wine we tried! Walking through the cellar was a highlight, and the charming path by the pond created a wonderful atmosphere. My favorite wine of the day was the Private Stash Gewurztraminer! I discovered many new wine styles I hadn't encountered before. I think the chocolate and wine tasting could have been improved, though, especially since we were at the 4 PM tasting and everyone seemed to be in high spirits, which made for a fun yet slightly rowdy atmosphere! We’re definitely planning to make this an annual event—we're currently sipping on some Beau as I write this!

I celebrated my birthday dinner at The Vintage House with my parents, and it was absolutely fantastic! Our waiter, Francisco, was incredible! He was attentive and friendly, which made our experience even more enjoyable. He had a great understanding of the menu and provided excellent recommendations. We will definitely be returning and will be sure to request him!

What a fantastic way to spend a Saturday afternoon! I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who are genuinely nice and down-to-earth people. They gave us a tour and a tasting of some wonderful wines, and I truly learned a lot about the different varieties, the tasting process, and how wine is made. We wrapped up the day with a delicious rib-eye steak cooked to perfection. Great friends, delicious food, and exceptional wine – it truly doesn't get any better than this!
