I absolutely love this restaurant! The flavors remind me of Hertzoggies, but even better! Plus, they have rugby on, which is a nice touch. The bakery-cured meats are a bit pricey, about 30% more than similar delis, but the overall experience makes it worth it. The atmosphere is enjoyable, the staff is friendly and busy, and they offer a fantastic selection. It's a wonderful local spot that feels well established.

The best part about indulging in a late-night meal just before the power goes out is Giovanni's. One of my favorite moments happened when I went to pay and encountered two cashiers giggling uncontrollably. Their infectious laughter made me start laughing too! I asked what was so funny, but they said it was too long to explain. I jokingly replied, "Don’t you know my friend is picking me up right now, and he’ll wonder why I’m crying with laughter?" I could only imagine my friend's reaction if I told him I didn’t really know why! That was the most genuine laugh I've had in a long time. The food is excellent, the service is fantastic, and it truly feels like a second home. I give Giovanni's a perfect 10/10! I highly recommend it—though I still have no idea what sparked that laughter!
