The Tullow Gate Jd Wetherspoon - Carlow

I highly recommend this place! The staff were incredibly friendly and always welcomed us with a smile. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic!

Be cautious about your order going missing. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, I asked about my food and was told that "the kitchen never received the order." Although the bartender could see my order on his screen and confirmed it was paid for, he couldn't explain why it hadn't been sent to the kitchen. I regret not asking for a receipt. Don't make the same mistake, and be wary of a system that can lose orders between the bar and the kitchen. The food was decent once it finally arrived, another 12 minutes later. The two guys behind the bar were certainly busy, and they could have used extra help to serve the tables.

The food was delicious and served hot, arriving in about 10 minutes. The drink prices were quite reasonable, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

I realize it was a quiet Monday morning, but the staff seemed disinterested and barely polite. Their menu didn't offer any gluten-free options unless you used a complicated touchscreen. My order arrived quickly, which is typically a positive thing, but unfortunately, the beans, mushrooms, and eggs were cold. Additionally, there were no stirrers available in the self-service tea area. Overall, I wouldn't plan on returning.

I just visited Tullow Gate for a refreshing cold glass of Coke and to relax with some friends. The young man who served me was absolutely delightful. The atmosphere was really cool, with plenty of airflow, making it a lovely place to be. I will definitely go back again. Thank you! The layout is very well done, providing ample space for everyone. It wasn't hot inside at all, just pleasantly cool, which is especially nice on these hot days we're having. We are truly fortunate to have a place like this!
