I always make sure to enjoy a meal (or two) at Bangkok 54. Today, I had the Massaman Curry and roasted tofu with chili sauce, and as always, the flavors were consistently excellent. The dishes were perfectly seasoned—not too much, not too little—making them fragrant, tasty, and delicious. The roasted tofu also makes for a fantastic snack. Highly recommended!
I have been tasting Thai food around the USA and Bangkok 54 for 10 years is definitely the top among all. The curriest and tasters are super authentic and you need to try if you are a Thai food lover around the triangle area. I also published the latest menu for your references.
Service was incredible and the food was great. The pad Thai was great, the shrimps and the chicken were just okay. I would use chicken breast for the type of chicken meat and cook the shrimp differently than cooked. Both had not much taste. I'll go back soon.
I ordered the cattle massaman curry, and the dish was excellent. The curry sauce was flavorful, the steak was tender, and the rice was well-prepared. The soup was also enjoyable. All of this was priced at just $13, which included a sweet tea. The ambiance and decor were lovely, and the service was great. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience at a great restaurant.
We started with fresh rolls and fried pot stickers, both of which were fantastic. The pot stickers were surprisingly large—each one was easily two bites, unlike at many other places where they are more like single bites. The fresh rolls were equally delightful; the shrimp tasted fresh, and the other ingredients were crispy. The peanut sauce that accompanied them was delicious. I also tried the tom yum soup with shrimp, which had a great balance of flavors. I’d love for them to offer a larger portion of that as a full meal. For my main dish, I ordered the basil sauce with beef and requested a level 5 heat (their hottest option). The waitress warned me that it was quite spicy and suggested sticking to a level 3, but I assured her that I grow Carolina Reaper peppers and wouldn’t send the food back. She confirmed my choice with a nod. When the food arrived, everything was excellent! The flavors in each dish were amazing (although my friends didn’t try mine since they don’t share my love for spice). The heat level was just right for me. By the time I finished, I noticed a light sweat on the back of my neck, and it cleared my sinuses—exactly what I look for in spicy food at a restaurant. They really delivered on that front. I will definitely be returning!
