I just accepted what I received and moved on. However, when the food arrived and I took a bite of my burger, I was taken aback by the taste. At this point, I didn’t want to make a fuss; I just wanted to finish my meal and leave. As I bit into my burger, I encountered something that tasted quite unpleasant. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the burger's buns were burnt—almost like charcoal, rather than simply toasted. I quietly removed the burnt parts and ate the rest of my meal with a fork. Having worked in the food industry, I know that serving burger buns in such a poor condition is a major red flag. It suggests either careless cooking or a lack of concern for quality. Given that the restaurant wasn’t busy, there’s no excuse for this oversight. In any case, this is not something that should ever be served to customers.
I ordered the lamb burger with sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, the bun was stale and the fries were just average. I probably won’t dine here again. I've heard rumors that Norman has never even visited his own restaurant.
We're getting one at home soon, so when we discovered there was one nearby, we had to give it a try. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the live music was excellent. The only downside was that we got a parking ticket because we didn't know the rules, but that's on us for not paying more attention.
Nic Normans is inside the Chattanooga choo-choo, so the setting is historic and beautiful. The food was good at reasonable prices. The staff created a sweet coffee drink for me. Overall, it was a great experience.
This restaurant was fantastic. Great food, great service. Was great!
