We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing, and every dish was fantastic. We especially enjoyed the stories about the food shared by the chef and the staff. The wine was delightful and complemented the dishes beautifully. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with exquisite food, excellent wine, and remarkable service.
What an amazing experience at HaiSous! We enjoyed the tasting menu which takes you on an adventure exploring Vietnamese cuisine that is so new, exciting, and thoughtful! The service is top notch, and the time the staff and Chef take to really tell thestory behind the dishes makes you feel like you are right there in Vietnam while enjoying your meal. There is so much passionand soul behind every dish, really creating such a wonderful dining experience. As a dessert person, you can't forget dessert toreally complete the whole experience! The whipped banana cream with toasted banana cracker was so good! Amazing job and mycompliments to Chef Thai, Danielle, and the entire HaiSous team!
Overall a good dining experience. Very friendly service, very modern and clean design with ample space. We opted to just order different dishes vs the tasting menu. Overall the food was good. Nice taste and nothing was bad?but nothing was amazing.Signature chicken wings were a bit dry, the curry was a little bland, etc. it?s a great place to bring a date, entertain out oftown guests or bring people you want to impress. But if I want more ?authentic? Vietnamese food I would go to Argyle?which stillhas its shortcoming vs eating in Vietnam but it?s much closer.
I can understand why some people enjoy this place, but I don't think it lives up to the hype. My group tried the grand tasting menu, and it didn't really feel like Vietnamese or Japanese cuisine—just a mix of some aspects from both. I only liked 2 out of the 7 dishes we had. Considering we spent $250 for three people, it was quite disappointing. However, I will say that the matcha mousse was really good!
We visited this restaurant two nights in a row because we are such huge fans! The menu is seasonal, with some dishes available year-round, and we nearly tried the entire Spring 2022 menu. The broth for the Bun Cha is outstanding, and the addition of black peppercorns in the meatballs adds a delightful crunch without being overpowering. Both the marinated ribeye and eggplant dishes were impressively tender and very enjoyable. Overall, the flavor combinations were exceptional across nearly every dish, and their sauces really stood out. The sauce accompanying the eggplant dish was so delicious that I could drink it! The yellow curry and the 16 oz. ribeye were also memorable dishes that I could gladly eat again and again. If I had to find a minor fault, I’d say the grilled octopus and morning glory (greens) were just okay; their subtle flavors were somewhat overshadowed by the more robust dishes. To top it all off, the addition of sesame in the rice pudding is a game changer! It's so light that even if you're full, you can still enjoy a bowl of dessert. HaiSous offers top-notch service and fantastic food!
