I visited with a group of six for a hibachi dinner, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. One waitress was exceptionally rude and disruptive. The hibachi experience itself was lackluster—no impressive tricks like at other places. To make matters worse, we had to deal with this impolite waitress, who wasn't even assigned to our table, talking nonstop. I would definitely advise against this restaurant.
I lived in Clarksville many years ago, and I still find myself thinking about this place frequently. I've lived in several states and countries since then, but nothing has compared to it for me!
I have never had so much fun watching food be made. It was very entertaining.
My boys (7 and 9) came for the first time last Friday Night to have an early fathers day celebration. Our daughter (16) had been before. The food was absolutely amazing, which was no surprise, as Yamato has been one of our favorites since we got married 14 years ago. But I absolutely had to share what my 7 year old boy had to say, Wow!! We need to rate this place number ONE! They must have to train them to cook like that for like 50 years! Both of my boys were seriously impressed with both the show and the food and have requested to come back several times already! Kid-friendliness: The heat can be intense, but as long as you wait until children are old enough to understand it will be Hot and have fire, then you should be ok. I tend to scoot my kids back from the table about 6-12 inches to help with the heat. The show is always great fun for both kids and adults, and they always take special care to entertain everyone and make it fun! While older kids that I have been with have always enjoyed it, it IS expensive and not exactly the type of dining experience you don 't want to enjoy if you are paying for it, so I would definitely consider my children 's ages and make sure that I find a babysitter for infants and toddlers if you will be doing hibachi. They do have a few tables for those that don 't want the hibachi, but it is so much more fun with them cooking everything right there. Just consider your children 's ages and maturity before bringing them in and everything will be fine! ?
