The service was a bit slow, but for good reason - all the orders seemed to be made fresh, resulting in delicious food. My family tried the cod and haddock, both of which tasted fresh and delightful. The prices were fair considering the high quality of the food. We have been coming to St Agnes for years and have never had a bad meal. Keep up the great work!
This fish and chip shop used to be the best in the South West, and possibly even in the whole country. The chips were amazing and the fish and batter were perfect. They were served in a cardboard box to keep them from getting soggy. However, when we visited in September 2023, we were disappointed to find new staff behind the counter. Despite this, we hoped for the same great meal. Unfortunately, we were served dry, rubbery chips and tasteless fish batter wrapped in paper on a tray for £11.50. This was the worst fish and chips I've ever had. If you have memories of the perfect fish and chips they used to serve, I strongly recommend savoring those memories and not returning.
I will not be returning for dinner due to the poor quality of food at this fish and chip shop in St. Agnes village. While it is located in the heart of the community, the food seems to cater more to pub-goers rather than serving quality meals.
Really good quality fish and chips cooked really well but most importantly massive portion sizes! Definitely will b going again soon
2 fish and chips and portion of mushy peas for just under £25! Wouldn't mind too much if the food was good but food was poor. Chips were overcooked and more batter than fish. Would never go back.
