Frankie Benny's New York Italian Restaurant Bar Coventry

We arrived early on New Year's Day and found the restaurant to be quite empty, which meant we were seated immediately and our orders were served quickly. The coffee came with free refills, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, there were no non-pork options available, which was disappointing. We ordered a variety of dishes including a vegetarian scrambler, a 4-egg omelet with mushrooms and cheese, and a triple pancake platter with eggs and bacon. The highlight of the meal was the perfectly fried and delicious hash browns. Overall, the service was good and we enjoyed our meal.

I recently dined at Francie Bennys in Coventry and it was absolutely terrible. Let me tell you a joke – I would have been better off going to Burger King instead. I ordered a cajun chicken sandwich which came with fries and coleslaw. When the food arrived, the coleslaw was soggy and I couldn't even bring myself to eat it. The portion of fries was so small, I could count them – there were exactly 23. The chicken sandwich was also disappointing as it was served stone cold. It seemed like they had just reheated a pre-cooked chicken breast in the microwave for 20 seconds before serving it. The sandwich cost £9.95 and a coke was £2.10, making a total of £12.05 for a meal that even a dog wouldn't want to eat. I didn't want to cause a scene by complaining, but I definitely won't be returning.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with good service and delicious food! For lunch, we ordered a vegetarian calzone and an avocado roll. The calzone was delicious, although my wife thought the roll was just okay. The roll came with tasty chips on the side. They also offer free refills on hot drinks. We will definitely be going back again.

I really enjoyed my meal here. Wasn't here in years, but thought I would use my Merkat courts b.o.g.o.f. and I saved a lot of money. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was on site. Would be back soon. I hear it's busy here on weekends, so I went on Tuesday. Not too busy. Thank you. I feel so filled now after eating the mixed grill.

Nice restaurant to visit after you have a movie, wonderful food and great service of Lorant, excellent atmosphere. Beautiful and brilliant staff definitely come back!!
