Cook and Indis World Buffet - DARNLEY

Me and my boyfriend have been twice to the restaurant both time food was amazing and staff where so polite and kind specially Mohammed he remembered us from our first time there and what we liked to drink he made us feel really welcome would definitely be back

Mistake location. Not sure why this is listed here. It should be moved out. Waste of time for anyone looking for it.

Very disappointed. Food was disgusting. Kids corner especially, food frozen and potato smiley faces rock solid. Beans looked like they had been lying for days. The donuts in the dessert section were still frozen. Will not be back !!

Food - I have been to their branch at Glasgow Quay, which I highly recommend for their authentic desi dishes, freshly made naan and fresh food. This one was a disappointment. None of the food was fresh. I started with the Indian section - everything tasted like it was cooked in bulk the week before, frozen and then defrosted. So I gave the Pakistani section a try. This one they could have cooked in bulk, but the nihari was ironically under-cooked. The lamb was still firmly stuck to the bone, and so was the marrow. The naan was very dense (not light and fluffy like properly made naan - texture was more like a very thick chapatti.) The desserts looked like they had been out for days. The grapes for the chocolate fondue fountain were black around the edges and already shriveling. So I thought - surely their ice-cream cannot be not fresh. Sadly - the ice-cream freezer was not cold enough, so all the ice-cream near the sides of the freezer had melted, and the ones in the middle had the texture of melted ice-cream that had been refrozen (with ice crystals in it.) Service - they waitress was nice, but young and very inexperienced. The customer at the table behind us asked if they had anything fresher to eat and they said that she could order whatever she wanted (I did not stay long enough to see if this happened.) When I told the head waiter he said 'everything was made fresh today' but did not seem convinced himself!

I was here earlier with my family celebrating my sisters 40th birthday. Food surprised me with how great it was. Roxana and raheem were great, excellent service.
