Saturday evening and a warm welcome in front of the house ella. excellent food from the chef silvano. the seating area is large and bright and can also be finished with big parties.
Went to this restaurant for lunch with friends. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious pork dish we tried. The decoration of the place was beautiful and had a nice, crisp vibe. The staff was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. We had a great dining experience overall.
The Blacksmiths is our friendly local village pub. It was taken over around six months ago and now operates predominantly as a carvery restaurant. The carvery operates almost all day every day and is truly excellent value at £5. Sunday's are £10. The food is...very good and we've been a number of times. The staff have always been attentive and welcoming. For what it is, it's excellent and very much recommended.
We visited the Blacksmith Arms in Hook as a family of 4 adults, and went for the carvery. The carvery operates every day and we were delighted with the quality and choice of the food. The vegetables were not all soggy as in some establishments....And the meat was not all dried out, it was very moist. Even the Turkey which can be a very dry meat. The staff were really friendly and made us very welcome, and my Mum ordered a pot of tea which was served very well laid out on a tray with hot water etc, so it was an excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A big thank you to all of the staff. We will definitely be returning soon.
