Kingston & Co - Eastgardens

Ordered fish and chips and partner ordered steak for dinner. Fish n chips were so small that I finish in 5 minutes and left very hungry. Steak was cooked medium rare and very stringy and tough. Bad cooking or bad meat. Price are way too much for the portion size. I don't mind paying big if its in good portion sizes. Never will come again for dinner. There are better restaurants in Eastgarden.

Great service, nice atmosphere and outstanding coffee. So good I came back for a second an hour later!

The waitresses are nice but there are so many other places to go and have a meal. We went to the movies and thought it might be nice to grab a meal after what a mistake. If you enjoy per made meals go for it but it's poor quality. Just check out the ripped and dirty menu handed to us it says a lot and we should have walked there and then. But the beer is cold.

I came here with my young son for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were seated by a very friendly waitress, who took our drink orders promptly. I ordered the ricotta hot cakes and my son had banana bread. The hot cakes were divine!! Very fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. My sons banana bread was served with lurpak butter (makes a nice change from margarine you get in other cafes) The coffee I had was one of the best coffees I've had in a long time, very well made, you can tell the barista really cares about their coffee. The staff are very friendly and attentive, engaging and make the place have a comfortable atmosphere. We will be regulars from now on!

Lunch here was disappointing, 300g Scotch fillet to come with roasted seasonal veg. Steak was cooked to medium as requested but was stringy and dry, not good quality meat, vegetables were 4 slivers of carrot, 3 knobs of broccoli and 3 slivers of zucchini all boiled not roasted.Nice selection of wines but pricing is outrageous, charging $42.00 for a Maya and Max 2014 Chardonnay that retails for $17.99 and at $9.50 per glass! not impressed.Background music of incessant alto sax jazz can become a bit irritating. The Kingston Mess for dessert was quite good, so I am hoping there will be improvement on the other noted items over the next few months while I'm in Sydney.
