The rolls, pies, cakes, and empire biscuits are fantastic and definitely worth trying, especially if you're walking home.

The pies, bridies, sausage rolls are really great, with good portions of meat and lovely pastry. The morning rolls are truly without equal, anywhere, and I have tried many morning rolls!!

This bakery is fantastic! The steak pies are amazing, packed full of tender meat and delicious gravy. Once you try them, you'll be craving more.

I often think locals forget what a rarity it is to have a bakers open from 9pm until 4am. We visited at midnight and there was a queue out of the door. Lovely soft freshly baked bread rolls, delicious macaroni cheese pies and bran scones. Whether you are a visitor to the City or a local I would definitely recommend a visit, this hidden gem of a place is what tradition is all about.

One of those rare neighbourhood old school businesses, a simple bakery selling brilliant pies and rolls and it's open till 4 a.m . Whenever I'm in Edinburgh I will make sure to stop buy and get some steak pies.
