Moghul Express - Edison

This place serves some of the best Indo-Chinese dishes in the area. We ordered the House Special Noodles, Special Fried Rice, Drums of Heaven, and Hakka Chilli Chicken. Everything transported me back to Tangra Chinese, which is quite an accomplishment. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable—a hard combination to find. While we waited for our main dishes, we also sampled the Dahi Phuchka, which was tempting to look at and absolutely delicious. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving Indo-Chinese cuisine. On a more recent visit, I tried a variety of dishes, including Garlic Pepper Prawns, Gobi Manchurian, Hakka Chilli Chicken, and of course, the mixed special fried rice. I couldn’t increase my rating further, so I decided to share more pictures this time!

We regularly drive an hour to Edison for Indian food, and today we decided to stop at Moghul Express. We were not disappointed! My wife and I were in the mood for Indian Chinese and South Indian dishes, as we were tired of the usual curries. We ordered chili chicken, Schezwan chicken noodles, and cheese dosa. The chili chicken was perfectly spicy, reminiscent of restaurants in India. The only downside was the sambar; perhaps my taste buds were overwhelmed by the chili chicken. Overall, it was a great experience. Just keep in mind that it’s more of an express restaurant, so don’t expect full dining service. Thank you for having us!

We were in search of a quick Indian dinner on a weekday, and this place is conveniently located off Oak Tree Road. They offer a great variety of Indo-Chinese dishes. The curries are excellent, and I highly recommend trying the Chicken Hyderabadi. The portion sizes are generous, and the curries come with a side of rice.

Although I am the first to admit the prices are a bit steeper than wanted, however the food here is worth it. The taste is so authentic indian chinese which you can't easily get here. I have always received excellent customer service from the guys here. Recommendation would be making the rice quantity a but higher when ordering food. My favorite menu chilli chicken and white rice with mango lassi.... yummmmmmmy!!

Best Dosas. I enjoy dosas very much, and Moghul Express has the best of any I've tasted anywhere. They're big, but the texture has been perfect each time I've eaten there- thin and slightly crispy on the ends, soft in the middle, and the fillings are excellent. Moghul Express's desserts, however, seem to be their signature. They're very pretty, so you're paying a little more for appearance, and they're very tasty.
