The Depot - Elk River

The food was enjoyable, but they imposed a surcharge for using a credit card. Our total bill for two people was around $40. I'm not a fan of businesses that charge high prices and then add extra fees on top of that.

The Depot is a fantastic little spot! Despite being a bit understaffed, the bartenders and servers go above and beyond. Their soups are delicious, especially the tomato basil, chicken wild rice, and broccoli cheddar. I can't get enough of their cauliflower crust pizza! It's thin and has a subtle flavor—just like a regular pizza crust. This isn’t an upscale restaurant with white tablecloths and constant check-ins; it's a sports bar with a casual vibe. If you need something, just ask the staff politely, and they'll take care of you. My favorite bartender is Mike; he really looks after his guests and adds a special touch to the cocktails if you seek his creative recommendations. ❤️

Wow! We made a quick stop here on our way home from Stillwater for lunch, and it was fantastic! Both my wife and I ordered one of their specialty burgers, and they were amazing! Cooked to perfection, this place is truly a hidden gem. We definitely want to return!

We dined at the Sunshine Depot this past Thursday before the concert by the river, which ended up being moved to the high school. The only complaint was that they had a limited menu even though the concert had been moved. I wanted to try theirboasted chicken, however it turned out ok because we ended up ordering their pizza. There were 3 of us and we each ordered thesmaller personal pizzas. They were delicious. I ordered a veggie pizza and my husband and the other person ordered the meatpizzas. The pizzas here are really good. Crispy thinner crusts and plenty of toppings. Will definitely go back here for thepizza and to try the boasted chicken.

Beautiful location right on the river! The indoor seating is nice too. A nice menu with lots of options. The reason I gave it a 4/5 is because I asked for a medium burger and the thing they brought me was literally uneatable. It was burnt to a crisp andthe server asked me why I wasn't eating my burger and I showed her the inside. She told me that she would remove it from thetab which was fine but I left unsatisfied. I have a feeling that this was just a one off so I will return and hopefully changemy rating to a 5/5 star!
