Silver Diner - Fairfax Station

Been 16 years since my last Silver Diner meal. The menu now seemes refined, focused, and deliciously expansive for a diner. This new diner location feels very comfortable with seemingly wider tables and longer leg room space. Took advantage of the limited time 35 year anniversary special for 2 entrees and 1 appetizer for $35. Ordered the classic calf's liver, crab cake entree, shrimp quesadilla, brussel sprouts, classic wings, and tajin shake. The classic calf's liver was a pleasant surprise and not bad. The crab cake was average but the standout item of the entire meal was the shrimp quesadillas. It was filled with good amount of medium-large shrimp and you could taste the shrimp. The tajin shake was the most underwhelming item as it was cloyingly sweet with neglible spicy or salt flavor from Tajin seasoning or tabasco sauce. If it wasn't for the limited time 35 year anniversary special deal, the food amount ordered would have totaled $95 (which would be a little too expensive IMHO) but the meal ended up bring $68 which is a great value. Due to the expansive menu, a second trip would definitely be needed to baseline my final rating.

Really nice diner and their Ceasar Salad was absolutely delicious. I'm only removing 1 star because I felt that the price was a bit expensive at nearly $17.00. Despite that, I loved the atmosphere, and the waiter was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend eating here. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

The food was so lovely. The moment those chocolate chip banana pancakes touched my lips I felt my heart and back grow in real time. The portions were lovely (God bless America . I received three MASSIVE pancakes and that plate was CLEANED. Not only was the food delightful but the service was a 10/10. Zedrick provided excellent service to my party and he is the sole reason why our experience was so memorable and pleasant. I highly recommend this fine establishment. (Zedrick, I hope the strawberry incident did not conflict with your sleep. You can do no wrong.

We had our family lunch here on a Sunday. Great atmosphere and great service. All age groups were there. Food is delicious. The brunch menu has lot of options. I had fish and fries from regular menu. Flounder was very well made and served with coleslaw. The sauce is delicious, but not enough for number of fish pieces they gave. I liked carrot-ginger turmeric juice. I should have said no ice or very little ice.I see lot of families with young kids. Next time I will definitely try pancakes as everyone around our table ordered pancakes. They looked delicious. I definitely recommend to my friends and family.
