Chez Al - Farnham

I ordered for the first time this evening because it offered delivery through DoorDash. The food was delicious and very hot—the soup was actually boiling! Everything was great, and I appreciated that the sauce was on the side as I requested for the soy sauce chicken. Overall, I'm really happy with my dinner, and the delivery was quick—barely took half an hour!

I was very disappointed with my experience! I ordered two General Tao chickens, but they ended up being quite bland and covered in a thick, greasy black sauce with no vegetables. There was also too much batter, and the chicken was undercooked and lacked crispiness. To make matters worse, there was no English-speaking service—no basic greetings or phrases like "hello," "order," or "thank you." One of the staff members (possibly the owner) scolded us for not indicating that we were dining in, saying it could create problems with the police. Honestly, she should be more concerned about health inspectors; there were no gloves, no hair nets, and she was handling both cash and food without washing her hands. We won’t be returning.

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I love the theme and the food is delicious!

The service is courteous and the portions are generous! The Szechuan combo is our favorite. While it's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, I'm glad to have a good option like this close to home!
