La Cocina Mexican - Fayetteville

Terrible! We ordered beef and chicken taquitos which sounded tasty from the menu. Looked good on the plate but tasted like dry, freezer burnt cardboard that they dropped in oil. It was so nasty and left such a bad taste in our mouth that we couldn't eat anything else off their menu for fear we'd get sick. Still paid for our drinks and tipped but we'll never visit here again. So disappointing!

On a positive note, the chips and salsa were fantastic! I would recommend this place if you’re looking to grab drinks and enjoy some chips and salsa or an appetizer. However, I wouldn’t suggest bringing the whole family, as everything comes with an extra cost, and I should mention that kids' meals do not include a drink.

The waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was just okay. I'm still on the lookout for a truly impressive authentic Mexican restaurant in Fayetteville. I would go back again.

We found ample seating available during our visit this Saturday night. The Texas margarita is quite substantial, and the Paloma was expertly crafted, while the Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus tea) was absolutely delicious. Be sure to start with the incredible chorizo queso dip as an appetizer to enjoy with your tortilla chips. The mole sauce provided just the right amount to cover the chicken breast, but if you're looking for a heavy sauce with a leg quarter, keep that in mind. The tacos al pastor were served in fresh tortillas, though I couldn't quite detect the sweetness that should have been there. The staff was fantastic, guiding us through our meal choices with helpful recommendations.

I actually got sick from this food. Had not eaten up to that point and within an hour I had food poisoning. To speak on the food, the chips and queso were fine. Same as everywhere else. The only reason I gave two stars is the waiter was very good. The Carnitas were dry. Definitely had better elsewhere. Everything else was decent. I was no impressed at all, especially once I became sick. I will not be eating here again.
