I absolutely adore this restaurant and make a point to dine in or get takeout whenever I'm in the area. Ms. Wan Pen is always friendly and inviting, and the food is consistently delicious and authentic. I can vouch for this as a former resident of Thailand for two years. I always make a point to try out local Thai restaurants wherever I go, and this unassuming spot is truly fantastic. If you're a local, you may have driven past it without realizing there's a hidden gem of a restaurant inside the Citgo gas station store. Give it a try!

Located inside a Citgo gas station, this restaurant is a hidden gem that you have to seek out. The small yellow sign on the gas station is the only indication of its presence. I tried the drunken noodles, which were delicious despite not being the typical wide noodles. We also shared a flavorful tom yum with chicken and my husband enjoyed a citrusy chicken larb. There is no online menu, but there is a large menu available at the counter. This Thai food is the best we've had in the Asheville area, although the competition isn't very strong. It is authentic and very affordable. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it.

I search for Thai food everywhere I travel. While attending the RootsWeek retreat I ate at 3 differnt Thai restaurants and this little hole in the wall was by far the best of them all! Best service!
