Blackstone's Pub Grill - Flint

Edit Aug. 23, 2022: I dined at this restaurant once again while attending Back to the Bricks. I ordered the Smokehouse Mac and Cheese, and it was absolutely fantastic. My server, Tyler, was excellent. The food and atmosphere here are consistently outstanding. This is a wonderful place to eat, with a lovely ambiance. We’ve visited several times and have always experienced prompt service. It's located in the heart of downtown Flint, so finding parking can be a challenge on busy days. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area, which is perfect for summer. I highly recommend this spot!

What a fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu was straightforward, and the bar area was stunning. Prices were reasonable, too. I really enjoyed the live music. The food was cooked to perfection and served in generous portions. I will definitely be coming back to try more items from the menu. I ordered the sting burger cooked medium, while my wife had the chicken club—both were excellent!

This is a fantastic venue for a downtown gathering. It offers ample space and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any event. Don't miss out on the homemade fries—they're delicious! The live music adds to the atmosphere on scheduled nights.

The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the service was excellent. The food was quite delicious. I will definitely return!

My problems began when we requested to sit outside. There wasn't a table available at that moment, but I asked if we could move when one freed up. The hostess said it would depend on the server. I would have waited, but we were instead seated as far from the outdoor area as possible, right next to the stage. Within two minutes, a table outside became available, and I asked the waiter if we could move. He had to confirm with the hostess, but we were eventually able to relocate. We ordered two appetizers along with our entrees, and I also got an additional salad. Unfortunately, all of our food arrived at the same time, so while we were eating our appetizers, our main meals were just sitting there. I ordered ribs, and while they had good flavor and were tender, they unfortunately weren't "fall-off-the-bone" and were quite dry. This was evident when I looked at them from the side and even more noticeable when I took a bite. I requested extra napkins (you know, for ribs), but after waiting over five minutes and watching our waiter attend to other tasks like restocking the bar, I went up to ask again, as well as to have him refill my water (which was empty by the time I asked for the napkins). Once again, I've never been impressed with the service at Blackstones but have tolerated it for the sake of the food. However, cold, dry food has changed my mind. Additionally, while the menu lists the price for a full rack of ribs at $27, we were charged $29. I understand that prices may have gone up, but this should have been communicated. Lastly, I wouldn't recommend the overpriced BBQ deviled eggs—there's nothing particularly special or BBQ-like about them; they are just regular deviled eggs. To be fair, the menu description explains them, but we expected something more.
