Verf's Grill Tavern - Flower Mound

We had a party of 40 people and they did a fantastic job of accommodating us.

We had a great evening with a group of friends at this restaurant! The service provided by Juan was fantastic and the food was good. My only complaint is that the management claimed they were out of the Happy Hour wine, but I believe they could have easily substituted it with a different varietal and charged me the Happy Hour price. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for 45 years, I know that they have the ability to do so. Overall, it was a fun night with friends, despite this minor issue.

I was searching for a great spot for brunch and came across this place on my list of places to try. I was extremely impressed by the amazing brunch they served. I ordered pancakes and eggs that were delicious, and enjoyed a peach mimosa as well. I will definitely be coming back here.

While the 7 appetizers, multiple top shelf drinks and services were fine. The server was polite and friendly, we were run off by some patrons that were in my opinion entitled and rude, their basis was that we were looking at them. Management was called and we decided rather than have the rest of the night ruined by entitled rude, nasty and arrogant people we took our business elsewhere. Unfortunate that this place would rather have these types of patrons. We won’t be back and neither will any of our friends and acquaintances. Btw some our group has been there several times including last 2 nights never to return.

Firstly, I'd like to mention we've been regulars at Verf's for a couple years, and while slow at times, service has usually been exceptionally accommodating, no matter the staff. However, the recent update to the menu prices has me considering whether we can continue to afford supporting the venue as often as we once enjoyed, outside of special occasions. All our favorite dishes have been hiked up anywhere from an additional $5 to $9! A whopping 30% upcharge across the menu from what it was before. Fish Chips 16.99 21.99 6oz Salmon Bacon wrapped Shrimp 24.99 33.98 (or 26.99 w/o Shrimp 12oz Ribeye 33.99 42.99 (now comes with a shrimp skewer? Our server, while kind, kept pushing us items on the new menu, which we did not appreciate. We decided to mention how we were already unhappy about the price hikes after his third push, hoping he would stop. Unfortunately, he instead continued to attempt selling us on a $12 slice of cake throughout the meal. He tried to reassure us the prices were raised only by $2 on average per entree, though we have photos of the menu from earlier this year proving otherwise... He also mentioned how the prices have not been raised in half a decade, which is also untrue as proven by photos shared on Google Maps. Don't get me wrong, the food is generally still quite stellar! And if you feel the increased prices are deserved, by all means, I can only speak from my personal position. But unfortunately with a whopping 30% hike in price menu wide, I'm uncertain if we can continue to afford supporting the venue as regulars, or even recommend Verf's to friends anymore.
