Carshon's Deli - Fort Worth

This place is stuck 50 years ago. Everything is handwritten. Parking is awful. And yes I came at peak hour but all I ordered was one Reuben. Anyway when I got it and tasted it the meat tasted like it was bathing in chemicals. It tastes like rubber or tar.Idk what it is but the taste was off. I work at a place that serves better Reubens than this place. The PICKLE was the best partof the food I got. Did I mention that they don't take card either?

Terrific. Cash only. We got bagels and lemon bars from the deli on our way out.

This is one of the best Reuben sandwiches that I've ever had. Get the 50/50 mix of corned beef and pastrami, and you will have experienced sandwich bliss. The bread is crisp, the meat is tender, and the revelation you'll have after the first bite isanother level.

During lunch time it?s busy, cold, and full of primarily older folks who are hard of hearing and very loud. No disrespect to them, just difficult to have a nice lunch with such a cacophony in the background. I ordered a chicken salad plate that had anunfortunate flavor, potato salad had an old school mediocre edge to it, and the ?pasta salad? included maybe 9 pieces ofoversaturated fusilli. Forgot to take a photo of my plate but I think the lean portion size was conjured with senior citizensin mind. I give this establishment 3 stars because on other occasions I?ve ordered 2 decent sandwiches: the Reuben and theRebecca. Although, it would be nice if the side dish was larger and not served on cafeteria style crockery. Only accepts cashor checks, they don?t have an on-site ATM. This is one of Fort Worth?s oldest restaurants (which likely is a reason for theclientele) and is a deli so bare that in mind when choosing this place for lunch.

OMG! I now see what all the fuss was about. Delicious sandwiches and soup! Nostalgic candy. Beautiful pies which there's no room for unless you split a sandwich and are really, really hungry. Service is good, will definitely help be back.
