The Flying Carpet Turkish Cafè

I absolutely love this place! I brought my Turkish brother-in-law here, and he said it was the best Turkish food he’s had in America. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. I’ve been here a few times and have never been disappointed.

We decided to take a chance and randomly chose a few dishes, which turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Having been to Turkey before, the atmosphere here felt very authentic without being overdone or tacky. As we were wrapping up our meal and enjoying our wine and conversation, the busboy was hard at work, cleaning and moving around, even as they were nearing closing time. I ended up giving him a $20 tip for his excellent service, and he was so gracious, even offering to take our picture. Overall, it was an extremely enjoyable experience. We live just down the street and can’t wait to come back!

As authentic as it gets. Like many places in Texas, you won't really know how great a restaurant is until you step inside. If you're a fan of meat, you can't go wrong with the Adana Kebob. I also really enjoy the eggplant dishes. Be sure to try the tea with Baklava at the end of your meal. I've been a patron since 2018, and I have never been disappointed.
