Our server was excellent and attentive. The roasted cauliflower was genuinely good, and in hindsight, we probably should have stopped there. However, the negatives outweighed the positives. My wife's kale salad contained roughly a dollar's worth of kale, and the preparation was subpar. They didn’t massage the oil into the kale as needed; instead, they simply tossed everything together. Although the menu mentioned roasted beets and other toppings, the kale dominated the salad, making it nothing more than a minimally prepared bowl of kale with a few extras for a steep price of $17. As for my meal, I ordered the catch of the day, which was a grilled fish sandwich. It turned out to be a small piece of cod that was undercooked and stuffed inside a bun that was far too large for it, lacking any flavor. It tasted like frozen fish, and while the fries and remoulade were acceptable, the entire dish at $18 felt overpriced and underwhelming. The coffee was decent, but overall, I would say this place is a miss for me unless I had no other options.
Thank you for making my mom's 60th birthday so special. We both enjoyed the seafood pasta, which was delicious. The Southern charcuterie board was a wonderful start to our evening. My mom was particularly fond of the Honeysuckle Pie, so I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a treat. The service from Ethan was fantastic as well!
My favorite dish was the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese! I would return just for those. However, everything I sampled was quite good. The biscuit board was my second favorite! The Benedict Oscar was just okay. Plus, they present your bill in a little book, which is such a cute touch!
I absolutely loved the atmosphere! The waitress was amazing—her recommendations were spot on! We tried the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts as appetizers, and they were delicious! The Honeysuckle cocktail was so refreshing! We're eager to experience one of the private booths with curtains next time. All the entrees were fantastic! I highly recommend this place!
We began with the biscuit board, and I'm 90% certain those were processed frozen biscuits—definitely not the homemade kind Grandma would make. So we gave it another shot with the pork belly mac and cheese. The pasta was cooked perfectly and smothered in gooey cheese, which was fantastic. However, the pork belly was the worst I've ever tasted. Next, we ordered the hot chicken sandwich. I have to say, I was left disappointed. It was neither "hot" nor crispy; instead, it was served at room temperature and quite dry. On a positive note, the bread and butter pickles, duck fat fries, and jicama slaw were all quite nice, and the French toast was also a good dish.
