Sake Toro Sushi - Frisco

The sushi was the best I've had in ages. Although I'm not usually a big sushi fan, the Crazy Horse roll was simply delicious. I also tried the appetizer special, which was incredible. However, the only downside was the service. The waitress with long, wavy blonde hair was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about us. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff seemed a bit laid-back and forgot to bring our to-go order. Aside from that, the food will definitely have you coming back for more!

My wife and I decided to try the sushi for two special. Despite the restaurant not being understaffed, we ended up waiting over an hour for our meal to arrive. They eventually served us some generic rolls, but the fresh raw fish we were eagerly anticipating never came out. To add to our disappointment, the steamed rice we ordered was also forgotten. Ultimately, we chose to leave and requested a prorated bill. I was really let down by the slow service; it felt like the entire staff was moving in slow motion, as if they had all taken something before the dinner rush on a Tuesday.

The food was decent, but this place leans more towards a hipster vibe rather than a traditional sushi restaurant. The wait for our food was excessive, with our two sushi orders taking about 20 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. After we inquired about how the sushi was prepared, our server seemed to vanish. Thankfully, the busboy stepped in to assist us for the rest of our meal, despite there being only three tables occupied during our visit. It might be time to consider promoting him! While the location is convenient, there are other sushi spots just a five-minute drive away that offer a much better customer experience.

We celebrated New Year's Eve at this restaurant on a double date with my best friend, and it was fantastic! The Ultimate Vegetarian Roll was incredibly delicious. When I called ahead, Logan was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She assisted me in finding vegan options and even checked with the kitchen to confirm that their tempura is free of milk and eggs! She was not only sweet but also ended up being our server. I would rate this place a perfect 10/10 and will definitely return for more wonderful experiences!

Without a doubt, this is my favorite sushi restaurant! The food is outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly!
