Huge in size and with cherry liquor it is just the best one I´ve eaten so far (and this from a local Bavarian)...
Very good local bio food and excellent service. We celebrated a 90th birthday together with the family. Really, really good local sparkling wine, a tomato cappuccino at its best, interesting and creative menue like beef filet on couscous. Check out the pics. The chef created a special for the birthday 'boy' and our waiter was well trained and attentive. Nothing more to say - just perfect :-)
Impromptu visit one weekday evening. After a swift glass of Helles outside, we were taken to our table. I must say that the location of this restaurant (in the grounds of Kloster Fürstenfeld) is super, and the interior decor builds upon this. Service was top notch, and presentation of the meal was flawless. But, and there is a ‘but’ unfortunately, the meal we ordered was tasteless. Very disappointed, not to mention that being billed as “Bio” had expected may be something better than the norm (where as this was well below the norm), as reflected in the price. Would I return & give it another chance? Well, think I’d try some other restaurants in the town (Fürstenfeldbruck) first before a decision to return.
We utilised this restaurant for a couple of days whilst staying in the hotel across the road.Firstly to say the location is superb in the shadow of a very impressive former monastery building, especially if you have fine weather and can eat on the outside terrace and beer garden.Secondly the food was excellent, but not your usual Bavarian fare and the menu was largely different main offerings with a heavy focus on vegetables that you usually do not see as standard. And it wasn't until I returned home and done some research on their website to discover that they are an award winning Organic restaurant.Well that would explain the non run of the mill menu then and , like the previous reviewer, I can concur that the vegetable soups I had on both days were superb.
It is with just reason that this restaurant was nominated by the "Feinschmecker" a German gourmet magazine. The organic dishes are amazing - in taste, innovation and presentation. The suggested aperitif always is a brilliant composition of flavour and high quality wine/ prosecco. Also there always is a non alcoholic alternative. Start with a very nice soup or inspiring salat composition followed by a traditionally influenced but fabulous implemented entree and the dessert - you taste it and feel in heaven. The service is just worth millions and you feel like a real valued guest .... AND ALL THIS IN ORGANIC HIGH QUALITY.
