The One Eyed Stag - Gateshead

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant. The wine menu and beer selection were impressive, and the cheese board was consistently excellent.

This micropub is very pleasant and popular, without any feeling of being hastily converted from a cheap shop. They offer bar snacks, usually have four cask beers available that are well maintained, and also seem to have good wine specials.

The venue is fantastic, with very reasonable prices for drinks such as £3.80 for a locally brewed beer and around £5.50 for a branded one. The atmosphere is lovely and I will definitely be visiting more often.

Nice place for quiet drink in the afternoon. Lovely and warm.

1st time I've been. Went early afternoon so was quiet. Gorgeous place and beautiful interior. Will definitely revisit.
