Buono Osteria - Gibsons

Dinner with beautiful view and good quality pizza. That's what it is. we had 3 try to visit this restaurant. the first time it was closed (mid week). our mistake not to check the plan. the second time they didn’t let us close in an hour before they suspected, because “we had a crazy night and we are tired”. I came from vancouver, that was quite strange to hear. for the third time we finally have the opportunity to visit the restaurant, as we have made a reservation before our arrival. the quality of the drinks was good. the dessert was moderate. I would recommend visiting this restaurant, but make sure they have a reservation and arrive early or the staff can be tired to serve them.

Nice view. Good sangria. Crab ravioli didn’t taste like it had much crab in it and was a very small portion. I don’ think it would break the restaurant’s bank bank to put two or three more ravioli on the plate. I would have ordered a secondi, but there weren't any on the menu, only pizza. The Caesar salad was good, but the croutons were deep fried so unnecessarily unhealthy. The music was too loud, making it hard to have a conversation. The service was friendly, but clumsy. The empty drinks cans remained on the teble long after their contents were consumed. In fact they remained on the table even after the server had made quite a clatter removing our plates, long before one person at the table had finfished. That for me, is a no no. Maybe its normal to remove plates before everyone is finished here in BC. But it seems a bit rude to me. In all, we had a passable meak. But it wasnt great, frankly. I dont think we will return.

Delicious! Portions were decent. The burrata was a great starter for 3 people. My dad and sister had the local clam spaghetti. I had the crab ravioli with the scallops add on. Although the spaghetti was tasty, I think the crab ravioli (in photo) was the most loved. Excellent view of the harbour. Classy joint. We will be back for pizza next.

Very busy night and we had no reservation. We were happy to take the 2 free spots at the bar. Ordered a variety of appetizers, pizza, and pasta. Food was good. Not the best I've ever had but good. Nice atmosphere. Would go again.

Incredible meal. My husband is a foodie and the joy on his face as he ate each course was wonderful to watch. We will definitely be back and bring friends. This meal was the highlight of our trip to Gibsons.
