The restaurant is small and neat, and is run by a team of welcoming, friendly people. The food was extraordinary – I highly recommend the vegetable samosas as an entrée – the spices are exquisite. Don’t leave without trying the naan with paneer – amazing!! Prompt service, and well priced for the amount of food – it easily provided lunch for the next day also. The only hiccup was no connection for the EFTPOS machine meaning I had to wait several minutes for a connection, but a minor point. Don’t leave Shep without eating here!
Wow this food is amazing - full of flavour and absolutely delicious! We ordered a number of dishes for our table and they were all excellent. Decor is a bit dated and it was a bit cool, however, staff are friendly and food is just sooo good - loved the whole experience and will definitely be returning.
I can't say anything about the restaurant decor as my son and I ordered from or motel and he picked it up. The food was good not great but certainly tasty. We had the whole lot. Veg. pakoras, veg. samosas, plain naan, Gosht Saagwala and Tikka Masala. It was hot (temperature wise) and there was certainly more than enough. If I ever visit the area again I might try the restaurant.
We take our family here regularly and also order takeaways. Desi, his family and staff are fantastic, the food is delicious and the price reasonable. You can't go wrong with this restaurant, and there is parking right outside. What more could you wish?
The food was ok. Butter chicken was heavily tomato flavoured. Ordered a Dal Tarka and received a Dal Makhani. Told them several times I'd got the wrong one but they continued to disagree. If what they served me was something they consider to be a dal tarka and not a makhani then someone/a few people working there need to reassess their Indian cuisine knowledge, I've never had a dark brown creamy dal tarka with kidney beans, however I have had plenty of dal makhanis fitting that exact description. More likely they served me the wrong one and didn't believe I would know the difference. Mint sauce with pakoras was neon green. Keema nan lacked lamb and was drenched in butter. Not overly sure why this place has such a high rating. But the staff were mostly quite amiable. Won't be going back though.
