Crystal Tavern - Hardyston Twp

I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had at this restaurant. For dinner, the chicken and sweet potato dish was excellent, and I found the pear cocktail to be delightful. The breakfast buffet was impressive, featuring amazing overnight oats. They offered an extensive selection, including a lox and cheese table, yogurts and oatmeal, pastries, an omelet station, pancakes, waffles, and all the toppings you could want. Although it was on the expensive side, the variety made it well worth it.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, especially if you're only in town for a night and coming from the city. If you have darker skin, be prepared for some uncomfortable looks. First, they brought us the wrong bottle of wine. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it because I'm pretty laid-back, but when we tried to order, they informed us that one of the items we wanted wasn't available. It was clear things were going downhill from there. I felt like we were being stared at like we were from another planet. Eventually, I decided to complain about the wine and reduced my order to just the wine and an appetizer. Then, as if by magic, the item that was previously unavailable suddenly became available. I only ordered it because I'd seen positive reviews, but I felt like I could see through their game.
