Olde Peninsula Brewpub - Kalamazoo

The few times I have tried this restaurant the food has been okay but the service is very poor compared to others in the downtown Kalamazoo area. In my most recent experience my wife and I took my elderly father and my daughter with her child. The place was busy but certainly not full. There was a minimum of wait staff working the floor. It took over an hour for our meal to arrive (which is difficult on senior citizens and children) and when it did the food was dried out and looked awful. I called the manager over and complained but she insisted that the food had just come out of the kitchen. It had obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for an extended period of time. The manager did not agree with me but how would she know because I noticed that she went out for smoke breaks when she should have been helping out. We refused the food for the poor condition and did not pay. The manager had the audacity to charge us for two beers for the hour we waited for the substandard food. Because of the service I will not go back again. I don't know who owns this place but they better start paying attention. Are you listening brew master Dan?

My favorite spot in Kalamzoo! My go to before any othersI always like new stuff but I know this is always solid.

Sorry to say that Olde Peninsula has lost some of its charm for me.

I was a little concerned because they were not too busy on a Friday night, but we had great service, and that was really good to eat. I had the fried cash and chips. excellent, fresh, piping hot. fun to taste her handmade beer.
