The pizza on the menu that's just Lodge Bread does not hold a candle to Full Proof's. Sounds like no evening hours either, closes 4pm everyday.Don't know what happened... this used to be my favorite local pizza spot and arguably best pizza on the west side. Amazing ingredients, flavorful thick crunchy crust, multiple portion options.Only thing that remains now as of Feb 2023 is the great crust flavor as expected of Lodge Bread. Topping selection is bare bones and crust is soft/soggy.Whoever's in charge, what happened to the old menu and pizza recipes? :
First their hours are wrong.Second, they charge premium prices for mall-food court level pizza.Soggy, flavorless garbage. No clue how they got any good reviews. Tried the classic, the margarita and the pepperoni.Ended up trashing it all and ordering from another spot. It's trash. Honestly. Stick to bread, don't make pizza,Or at least charge the less than dominos pricing you should be charging because their trash pizza has more flavor than your overpriced bs.
Been wanting to try this place for awhile. We ordered the cheese and margarita pies to go. Overall pretty dry and chewy. Our jaws definitely got a workout. Really nice staff. Wish them luck, but didn't work for us.
This review is more about the customer service than the food. I placed my order online to avoid waiting in line. On my arrival, I asked a curly-haired employee if I had to wait in the (long) line for a pickup. He said yes. Once I finally made it to the register, the cashier told me that I had to go to the other employee (the curly-haired one) for pick-up orders. I spent about 15 minutes in line to receive a cold pizza when that employee could have been competent enough to do his job.
I ordered through OTM Club: the Tri Colore Pizza and the Potato Leek Pizza. The Tri Colore Pizza features a delicious blend of tri colore salad tossed in balsamic vinaigrette, shaved parmesan, and an olive oil garlic crust. The Potato Leek Pizza is made with Yukon gold potatoes, aged white cheddar, leeks, Calabrian chilies, garlic, and chives. Full Proof Pizza is located within Lodge Bread, which is renowned for its fantastic breads (I first found Lodge Bread at the farmer’s market). While I compared the concept to Pizzeria Mozza, thanks to Chef Silverton's exceptional baking skills at La Brea Bakery, I must admit that the execution at Full Proof Pizza doesn’t quite match up to Pizzeria Mozza, although I really enjoy their flavors. I ordered a whole pizza from the OTM Club! The Tri Colore Pizza had outstanding flavor and a superb crust; the balsamic adds a complex and rich sweetness that lingers on the palate. I absolutely loved the Potato Leek Pizza! Who would have thought that a simple potato leek soup could work so well on a pizza?! The addition of Calabrian chilies gives it a nice kick of spice, and the crust was perfectly baked to a crisp golden brown. It's unfortunate to see Lodge Bread's evening pizza concept gone, but they still offer a limited plain pizza menu. I need to visit again to see if they can recreate the magic of Full Proof Pizza. **Highly Recommended:** Potato Leek Pizza (my favorite!) and Tri Colore Pizza!
