Best Western Premier Kansas City Sports Complex

The staff, from the front desk to the bartenders, were incredibly friendly and provided excellent recommendations for the best local BBQ spots (we chose Jack Stack, which was delicious). We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to book again on our way back from Florida. On the day of our reservation, the hotel called to inform us of a storm that caused city-wide power outages. They offered us either a full refund or a heavily discounted rate to continue our stay. We appreciated their prompt communication, honesty, and the options provided. In the end, we checked in but decided to leave again because the generator was only running essential services. Throughout this process, the front desk staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, from the initial phone call until we checked out. The hotel is consistently clean and has a pleasant atmosphere inside. It’s in a perfect location for attending games for either the Chiefs or Royals, with an easy walk to both stadiums!

The buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. The breakfast staff made sure the food remained fresh and well-stocked. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. The bed was the most comfortable we encountered during our trip. However, it's worth mentioning that one of the light bulbs in the floor lamp was burned out and should have been replaced before the room was made available. I also had to fiddle with the batteries in the TV remote to get it to work, but that wasn't a major issue.

The young manager was very sharp and accommodating. I was really impressed with how he managed a difficult situation. There was a power outage, and one customer became trapped in the elevator, growing quite upset and unwilling to move on. I thought the manager handled the situation exceptionally well.

Greta location to ball park. Friendly staff and great service. Many options for breakfast. Staff was always keeping the lobby clean and the breakfast area. Always a smile on their faces. If you're going to a Royals game, this is the place to stay.

Every staff I’ve talked to has been so nice and accommodating. Breakfast is a simple continental breakfast. The hallways smell kind of like mildew but it’s a Best Western so not bad for what it is. Bed is comfortable.Rooms: 4/5
